Dragonboat Festival

This Wennesday was an annual Dragon Boat Festival.It is one of the important holidays in Taiwan.My classmates told me that Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated in honor of Qu-Yuan.

Legend has it that Qu-Yuan is one of the loyalest politicians in Chinese. Dragon Boat Festival is based on May 5th of lunar calender.

Students in Taiwan can take a day off on this day, so my classmats decidedto take me to experience what Dragon Boat Festival is like.

There werea lot oftraditional interesting and joyful activities held on Dragon Festival , for instance , Dragon Boat competition , erecting eggs , carrying fragrant bags , tasting meat rice dumpling , hanging moxa and co farth.

Wow! It's meatrice dumpling. I can't wait to eat it. It's abundantin ingredients. It consists of glutinous rice , peanuts , mushrooms , porks , rgg Yolks , shrimps , etc .

It tastes so delicious that I want to eat more . It's my first time to have such a special meal. We also erected eggs .

It is believed that if we make eggs stand , it will bring good luck to us . When we succeeded in making eggs stand , we shouted with excitement.

Then we watched Dragon Boat race in TV. I saw each competitor made great efforts and cooperation. Iwas impressed with their sports spirt.

I really had a good time enjoying Dragon Boat Festival. I learned different cultures and customs from these activities .

To sum up , it is indeed a remarkable wonderful and meaningful experience for me.

Ruby's Diary

Hey!I am Ruby from Taipei First Girl's High School!

I was so glad that I could take part in this English Song Contest with Class Ding in KSVS .


I saw them praticing together during the English class , and I also enjoy the beautiful melody played by Mr.Huang with the trumpet ; he was so charming and appealing , but I was scared with Lady Mumu I was surprised that she could walk so sexy .


2010,June,9th,was the dayfor the English Song Contest and the Class Ding was the first class to sing on the stage.


The bowknots on the uniforms aer so lovely and I also had one , too!I love it so much.


Oh!Class Ding was already on the stage. I should pay my full attention so that I could enjoy their performance .

Wow!It`s perfect,I got indulged in their song a lot .


During the contest, all class`performances were interesting and I also laughted loudly,because that`s so funny .

Finally , when the judges announced the result of the contest , Class Ding did`t get the prize but they didn`t` fell depressed at all .


They have tried their best , so , it was a pretty good expererce that would be a great memory for them .


I hoped one day I could have such a chance to join fun activities in KSVS .

This is Ruby ! A special trip in Litchi garden

Hello , everyone . Are you curious what I did during last weekend ? Let me tell you . I had gone to a Litchi garden ! At first I heard this news , I felt curious about what Litchi is ? So , I asked the fifth team about this question and I got the answer . Litchi is a fruit that has a deep red surface and crystal clear pulp . They said Litchi is very delicious and sweet . After getting the information , I can't wait to see how Litchi looks !

After waiting for some days , finally , it was last Saturday , when I reached the Litchi garden . This is the first experience for me to go to the countryside . Air here was so fresh that I wanted to breathe over and over . The scenery was peaceful and picturesque . I thought this place must be a great way for relaxing soul . Okay , it was time to get into the garden !

Because I could not wait any more , I ran to the nearest Litchi tree at full speed .



Wow ! There were many strings of Litchi . Each of them seemed juicy and full of fruit flesh .

Ha~ha . I got one ! Oh , this string was a big one !

Look~Look~I got the first Litchi of my life .


Accompanied with the owners and the teammates , I had a great time . I thought the farmer must cultivate these plants hard . After all . “No pain , no gain” ! I still feel excited after the trip ; it is a touching and pleasant trip for me. I wish I could come back to the garden again . Thanks a lot ! My dear teammates !

A "MODEL" competition in KSVS at Class Din

It was a sunny and exciting day. There would be an amazing model show in KSVS English conversation class. I was so happy to have the chance to join the show. At first‚the first team's subject was Japanese figure in the video games. Look at his strong muscle with his hand grasping two swords. I was deeply attracted and was sure that he was the most handsome man around the world！

Next‚the second team started‚and their show was very eccentric. The model's pose was exaggerative；moreover‚ his decorations are so classical that it surprised me and confused me as well. After watching these performances‚I couldn't wait to see the next group. I was extremely excited！

Soon‚the third show began；the team was the focus of attention in our class‚especially when the model who had sexy appeal and magic started her show. Taking her glass down ‚dressed in sexy costumes‚she danced charmingly with music. And she caught every boy's attention. When she walked to the center of the catwalk‚such a simple action completely captured every boy. With graceful movement and music disappearing‚she slowly walked back and then she finished her mission today.

This was the best model competition I had ever seen. After that‚it was time for the judges. Though a series of discussions‚they finally decided to present the first place to. Surely‚they were all very happy and satisfied with the outcome.

That day I was the best shows all of the world. I was very happy and content. I hope I could see it again next time.

Hello! I Am Alichi

Hello everyone, My name is Alichi, coming from National Taitung Senior High School.It is very beautiful and I like there very much.This time, I came to Kaohsiung. There is heavy traffic and a little messy here.The weather is very good,but ut is a little hot. People are very passionate and friendly to me.



Here I am at KSVS. Wow. This is so big. Everyone works hard at class. Their mid-tern is coming. I think there are many hard-working students in the library. The students seem to study. Let's go to see it. HA HA.I find a group of students studying hard.

Their desks are filled with many textbooks and stationaries. Although senior high school's workload is heavy. Pressure is heavy,too. But students still study hard.







Mmm...One of them already fell asleep! Hey,guys! Don't sleep! Wake up! If you don't wake up right now or your grades be very bad. It is very important in this period. You can't be lazy!



After I encouraged them. They became absorbed in their work again,continuing their studies. Several hours later,today's study time was over. They were tired,too.Let's take a picture with them. Remember: "No pains,No gains" See you next time. Good-Bye!

A trip to Dream Mall

Three students and I went to Kaohsiung Railway Station and Dream Mall on May ninth . First , in the train station we ate lunch , which is rice with a thin omlette on top . It looked plain , but when you added many kinds of sauces , it let you want to eat again . Then we headed for Dream Mall from train station , where there were convenient transportations , and you could take the bus or MRT . We had enough time at that time , so we chose to take the number twelve bus . It was cheaper and it could protect the environment .

When we arrived at a stop near the Dream Mall , we took another shuttle to the Dream Mall . We thought there were few people , but it wasn't as our expection . We went inside to the second floor . There was a car show being held , and there were four cars , which looked very expensive and ther were made in Taiwan .

When we were ready to take a picture , we found that we didn't have batteries . And then , we wnet to B2 to find 7-11 . I didn't know what I could say . How careless the three boys were . After that , I saw a big wheel , and they said it is Ferry wheel . It was my first time seeing such a big thing .

Finally , we took some pictures at the gate . Although it was hot outside , I had a lot of fun with them .
